Terms and Conditions for Online Tutoring Services

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of online tutoring services (“Services”) by Jaagrut Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. (“Jaagrut Educational Services”) to its clients (“Clients”). By engaging with Jaagrut Educational Services for tutoring services, Clients agree to abide by these Terms.

Payment Policy:

Clients are required to make payment in advance before the commencement of tutoring sessions. Classes will be paused if the prepaid sessions are fully utilized.

Cancellation and Rescheduling:

Clients must provide a minimum notice of 24 hours for any cancellation or rescheduling of tutoring sessions.

A single exception per month is permitted for both Clients and tutors for cancellation or rescheduling, with a minimum notice of 1 hour. Failure to provide proper notice will result in the Client being charged for the full session, and the tutor forfeiting 25% of their fee for the next session.

Technical Requirements:

Clients are responsible for ensuring access to a stable internet connection and appropriate software/hardware required for online tutoring sessions. Jaagrut Educational Services shall not be held liable for technical issues arising from the Client’s equipment or internet connection.

Session Conduct:

Both Clients and tutors are expected to maintain professionalism and respect during online tutoring sessions. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session and possible further actions.

Confidentiality and Privacy:

All information shared during tutoring sessions, including academic records and personal details, shall be treated as confidential. Jaagrut Educational Services and its tutors agree not to disclose any confidential information to third parties without the explicit consent of the Client, except as required by law.

Recording and Sharing:

Recording of tutoring sessions by either party is strictly prohibited without the express consent of all participants. Sharing of recorded sessions or any materials provided by the tutor is prohibited without prior authorization.

Teacher Assignment:

Jaagrut Educational Services reserves the right to change the assigned tutors as necessary to maintain the quality and effectiveness of the Services.

Feedback and Dispute Resolution:

Clients are encouraged to provide constructive feedback to enhance the tutoring experience. In case of disputes or disagreements, both parties agree to attempt resolution through communication and negotiation.

Intellectual Property Rights:

Any materials, resources, or content provided by the tutor during tutoring sessions remain
the intellectual property of Jaagrut Educational Services.
Clients agree not to reproduce, distribute, or sell any materials provided by Jaagrut
Educational Services without explicit permission.

Force Majeure:

Neither party shall be held liable for any failure or delay in performance under this agreement due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control.

These Terms are effective from February 1, 2024, and shall govern the relationship between Jaagrut Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. and its Clients for the provision of online tutoring services.
